Joe Lubbock was born in 1915 and spent most of his life working as an engineer but after WWII studied Art at Heatherly's and Saint Martin's and in 1963 he moved with his wife to Suffolk to pursue his vocation as an artist. HIs studio looks out over the the Suffolk countryside, fields, woods and a river that often appear in his work. Here too he writes the text for his books, most of which have been printed by Sebastian Carter at the Rampant Lions Press. Joe Lubbock's work has been exhibited at a number of museums and libraries including the V & A in London, The Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge and The National Library of Wales.
